First Stretch Goal Achieved!

Hey all, 

We've still got five days left in the campaign and we've just hit our first stretch goal. We were delighted with the punchboard upgrade used in Stop the Train! and are glad that Hit the Silk! is getting the same quality treatment from the experts at LudoFact. 

Next up, we're hopeful of reaching a goal that enlarges the size of the punchboard. More playing space frees up a bit of room for the plane counter to move, which is why we've put the next two goals together. If we increase that punchboard size (which we talked about in update 3), we can also invest in some lovely wooden tokens at £21k to replace the plane token from the punchboard with a lovely wooden counter around 20-22mm diameter. 

So, that's the target over the next five days. We know there's more than 1,000 people watching the campaign, so we hope this begins to tempt a lot of them to climb aboard! All of the sharing and noise that you've been creating for the game is really appreciated and we'd love to be able to reward that by unlocking these extras.  

I'll check in with you all again before we land... I hope we land. If not, there's hopefully enough parachutes to go around.

Yesterday we successfully funded. We're really grateful for your backing and are excited to bring the project to life for you all to enjoy. I touched on Stretch Goals in the previous update and not going to say much more on those, but we now can show you the updated stretch goal tracker:

The team are currently in discussion about what possibilities there might be to add more content, but we'd like to wait and see how far we can get with the stretch goals first. We'd love to be in a position to enable you to experience some variations on the game (incident cards and more scenarios) and we're looking at how to make that happen.

Take in the View!

Ladies, gentleman, all passengers... this is your pilot once again. If you look out of the windows on the right of the plane, you'll be able to see a nice view of Hit the Silk! on Steam. Nothing quite beats playing socially around a table, but if you can't do that at present, this is free to play, if you have Tabletop Simulator. You can also just head over to have a look at the cards and box contents in more detail. 

And if you don't have steam/TTS, well we'd love to host you on Zoom. It's free and really fun to play! Last month, I hosted the Hairy Game Lords and the Unicorn Collective and it was a really enjoyable experience (review). So, if you've got some free time in lockdown, then send us a message - we'd be glad to host you!

Whilst we're looking at previews, Unfiltered Gamer have put together this upbeat look at Hit the Silk! And the wild hair is almost a decent match for the prototype box colour. 

If you look out of your left window, you'll see far below, a lake, a mountain and at eye level, a burning engine. Nothing to worry about, happens all the time! Ha ha. And definitely not connected to the three gunshots you may have heard fired moments ago.  Might be worth looking under your seats for a parachute just in case... or a set of handcuffs.

Clear Blue Skies

Ladies and Gentleman, this is your pilot speaking - we're flying at 19,000 feet altitude in our Lockheed 10A. Ahead of us, clear blue skies. Having inspected the cargo bay, I can see we have more than half of the required cash on board and we're looking well positioned for our mission: to raise that £14,000 needed to pay off the manufacturer and get this shipment delivered. Now, please remain seated for the during of the journey - use of handcuffs, firearms and Kung Fu manoeuvres are strictly prohibited.
